shown in fig. A. Then he cut out small squares of side 1 cm from various sections
of the large square as given in fig. B. Look at the figures and answer the
questions that follow:

Solution :
Perimeter of fig. A = 40cm. Perimeter of fig. B = 56cm. Difference = 56cm ? 40cm = 16cm. Therefore, the answer is option (c) 16cm.
