(ii) Solvation effect - In aqueous solution 1° amines have 2 hydrogen atoms to form hydrogen bonds with three water molecules. In secondary amines there is only 1 hydrogen atom and in 3° amines there is no hydrogen atom to form hydrogen bonding.
