How can the electrode potential of an electrode be increased?

    Answer:

According to Nernst equation, the electrode potential (E) of an electrode is given as:                         \[E={{E}^{o}}\,+\frac{0.0591}{n}\log \,\,[{{M}^{n+2}}\,(aq)]\] The electrode potential of an electrode can be increased by increasing the concentration of the metal ions in solution. Thus, it is possible to increase the electrode potential of an electrode by adding a small amount of the same electrolyte in which the electrode is already kept.
