At the highest point, \[KE=\frac{1}{2}m{{\left( \upsilon \cos {{45}^{\text{o}}} \right)}^{2}}=\frac{1}{2}m\frac{{{\upsilon }^{2}}}{2}=\frac{1000}{2}=500J\]
