Can a flight of a bird be an example of composition of vectors?

    Answer:

Yes, the flight of a bird is an example of composition of vectors as is clear from the Rg.2(c).56. As the bird flies, it strikes the air with its wings W, W along WO. According to Newton's third Law of motion air strikes the wings in opposite directions with the same force in reaction. These reactions are represented in Fig. 2(c).56 along \[\overset{\to }{\mathop{OA}}\,\] and \[\overset{\to }{\mathop{OB}}\,\].  According to parallelogram law of vectors, the resultant of \[\overset{\to }{\mathop{OA}}\,\] and \[\overset{\to }{\mathop{OB}}\,\] is \[\overset{\to }{\mathop{OC}}\,\] . It is this resultant upward force \[\overset{\to }{\mathop{OC}}\,\] which is responsible for the flight of the bird.
