Acetic acid is highly soluble in water but still a weak electrolyte. Why?

    Answer:

The strength of the electrolyte does not depend upon its amount present in solution but on its ionisation in solution. Since acetic acid is a weak acid (organic acid), it is ionised only to small extent. Therefore, it is a weak electrolyte.
