Absolute value of an integer defined as follows:
\[\left| a \right|=\left\{ \begin{matrix} a,if & a>o \\ -a,if & a>0 \\ \end{matrix} \right.\]
For example:\[\left| 12 \right|=12,\left| -12 \right|=-\left( -12 \right)=12\]\[\left\{ because\text{ }\left( -12 \right)<0 \right\}\]
