Internet is a very powerful tool in today's world and offers many benefits.

• Chatting: This is a facility with which people who use the Internet can communicate with each other, anywhere in the world. In spite of the physical distance, you feel as if you are actually talking to the other person.

• E-mail: Through e-mail, we can send and receive messages from anyone connected through the Internet.

• Finding information: Internet provides information on almost any and every topic that you need.

• Advertising and publicity: IV my companies have their Websites on the Internet and they provide information about their company and their products on these Websites.

• Online shopping: Now you do not have to step out of home to make purchases. You can place an order for a product through the Internet and it will be delivered to your home.

• Entertainment: Internet has a wide collection of songs and movies and you can have fun listening to music and watching movies.

• Playing games: Internet also has a wide collection of games which you can play yourself or with other Internet users. (See Figure 5.6.2)
