4th Class Mental Ability Ranking and Ordering-Test Ranking Test

Type I

Identify the position of an object/ a person from left end or right end and rank from top or from bottom.

If end positions are not marked then it is taken defaultly (positions from your side) as left position or right position.     

Type II

In this type, questions could be asked by interchanging positions of two persons. 

Type III

Identify the position or rank of an object or person with respect to the position or rank of other person.

Type IV

Identify the position or rank of an object or a person after removing some objects from the series.

T Is third to the left of w.

III. If T is removed from the series, then the flower __________ is in the middle.

2.    Rohan ranks 8th from the top and 12th from the bottom in a class. How many students are there in the class?

(a) 17                          

(b) 29                          

(c) 19                          

(d) 21

Explanation (c):

(i) There are 7 students who have ranks higher then Rohan.

(ii) There are 11 students who have ranks lower then Rohan.

Total number of students = 7 + 11 + Rohan = students.
