   Introduction

Noun is a naming word. It can be the name of a person, place, animal, things etc. 4,  

•  John is talking to Mr. Bush.
•  The tiger is a wild animal.
•  Girls are playing in the field.
•  The radio is very costly.
•  Put the key on the table.  

     Analysis

in the above given sentences, John and Mr. Bush are the names of persons, tiger is the name of an animal, field is the name of a place and radio, table , key are the names of different things. So, these words are nouns.  

     NOTE:

All naming words are noun.

For example: Names of birds, insects, flowers, fruits, material, etc.

Words denoting feeling of heart and quality or state of human beings are also noun.  

For example: Childhood, Honesty, Poverty, Happiness, etc.
