Passage - 3
Category : 3rd Class
Read the passage carefully and answer the following question: Newton was a great scientist. One day he had to go out of his room for an urgent piece of work. He left behind a bundle of papers, which was the manuscript of his research on the theory of light, on his study table. That time, his dog was also sleeping in the room. As soon as he had left the room, the dog awoke. It jumped upon the table and upturned the lighted candle. The bundle of papers caught fire and was completely destroyed. When Newton returned after some time, he was surprised to see that all his labour of years had been destroyed. He became very upset. But he controlled himself.
