Floppy disks are great idea for saving important information like picture is documents, books, notes and articles. First the new floppy disk has to be format so that it saves the information floppy your computer. Even if a pre-formatted flop is purchased you still might have to format it to work on other personal computes.                

 

 

 

 *   The steps to follow are the following:  

  • Insert a floppy disk into the floppy disk drive.
  • Double-click My Computer icon.
  • Right-click the icon for the floppy disk drive, usually labeled 3 1/2 Floppy (A:).
  • Select Format from the menu that appears.
  • Click Start.  It should take several minutes for the computer to format the floppy disk.
  • Once the disk is formatted you can start saving your important files to the floppy disk.
