Scavengers eat dead and decaying organic matter hence they are also called carnivorous. Some living organisms are not dependent on scavenging for their food and eat both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. But, some time they exhibit their scavenging behavior also. Such living organisms are flies, fishes, ants, crows, dog and hyena etc.
