A experiment is said to be a random experiment if it has more than one possible outcome and it is not possible to predict the outcome in advance. For example, throwing a dice or tossing a coin is a random experiment.
The possible results of a random experiment is called outcomes. For example, throwing a dice and getting 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 are the possible outcomes.
The set of all possible outcome of a random experiment is called sample space. Each element of the sample space is called sample point.
For example, when we throw a dice we get, then it is called sample space.
