*         Analogy

Introduction: Analogy means the similarity between like features of two things, on which a comparison may be based.

The analogy between the heart and a pump. It can also be stated as an inference or an argument from one particular to another particular, as opposed to deduction, induction, and abduction, where at least one of the premises or the conclusion is general.
