Define phenotypic adaptation. Give one example.

    Answer:

Phenotypic adaptation involves non-genetic changes in individuals, such as physiological modifications, e.g., acclimatization, or behavioural changes. Adaptations of organisms determine their survival in the respective environments. The gradual physiological adjustments to the changed environmental conditions is called acclimatisation.
