Slaked lime is used to form ammonia. \[CaC{{O}_{3}}\xrightarrow{Heat}Cao+C{{O}_{2}}\] \[CaO+{{H}_{2}}O\to Ca{{(OH)}_{2}}\] \[2N{{H}_{2}}Cl+Ca{{(OH)}_{2}}\to 2N{{H}_{3}}+CaC{{l}_{2}}+2{{H}_{2}}O\]\[C{{O}_{2}}\]is circulated through brine solution which has already been saturated with ammonia. \[NaHC{{O}_{3}}\] being sparingly soluble gets precipitated\[NaCl+N{{H}_{3}}+C{{O}_{2}}+{{H}_{2}}O\to NaHCO+N{{H}_{4}}Cl\]Sodium bicarbonate on heating gives sodium carbonate. \[2NaHC{{O}_{3}}\xrightarrow{Heat}N{{a}_{2}}C{{O}_{3}}+{{H}_{2}}O+C{{O}_{2}}\]
