 Former RBI Deputy Governor and Noted economist Subir Vithal Gokarn passed away. He had the distinction of being the youngest RBI Governor at the time. Gokarn was also Chief Economist of Standard & Poor’s Asia-Pacific and Chief Economist of CRISIL. He was appointed as Executive Director on the board of the IMF in 2015. |
