 World Pneumonia Day, marked every year on November 12. The year 2019 marked the 10 anniversary of World Pneumonia Day to fight against pneumonia. The theme for the year 2019 is “Healthy lungs for all”. It was organized by the Global Coalition against Child Pneumonia in 2009. This day makes an awareness about pneumonia, how it is caused, treatment and prevention. Pneumonia is an infectious disease that causes infection in one or both lungs. It can be serious and life-threatening. |
