 Vice President Venkaiah Naidu undertook an official visit to Vietnam at the invitation extended by Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, Vice President of Vietnam. He was also invited by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and the organizers of the 16th UN Day of Vesak that is being held at the Tam Chuc Pagoda in Hanam Province in Vietnam to deliver the keynote address during the inaugural session. |
| Vesak is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Buddha. He also delivered the keynote address at the inaugural session of the event. The theme of the event was “Buddhist Approach to Global Leadership and Shared Responsibilities for Sustainable Societies.” Win Myint, the president of Myanmar, K.P. Sharma Oli, Prime Minister of Nepal and Tashi Dorjee, Chairman of the National Council of Bhutan also participated in it. |

 The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) announced Rs 700-crore venture capital fund for equity investments in agriculture and rural-focused startups. NABARD has been contributing to other funds till now and this is the first time that the rural development bank has launched a fund of its own. The fund has been launched by Nabventures, a subsidiary of NABARD, and has a proposed corpus of Rs 500 crore with an option to retain over-subscription of Rs 200 crore, called as the greenshoe option. The fund will have a high impact as it will provide a boost to investment ecosystem in the core areas of agriculture, food and improvement of rural livelihoods. |

Shri Yadav was a well known Bhojpuri folk singer from the ‘Birha’ genre, which revolves around the separation of a lover from his beloved.
