  The BCCI and UN Environment signed an agreement to promote ‘green’ Cricket in India. BCCI acting Secretary Amitabh Choudhary and Erik Solheim, Executive Director of UN Environment, signed a letter of intent in Mumbai.
The partnership aims to spread greater awareness about key environmental challenges facing the country, and highlight alternate and more sustainable solutions. The BCCI will endeavor to reduce its environmental impact by greening operations and engaging cricketers and fans in green initiatives.

    Common Service Centre (CSC) SPV and Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) signed an MoU for providing financial support to CSCs across the country in the presence of Minister of Electronics & IT and Law & Justice, Ravi Shankar Prasad.
Through the MoU, the SIDBI seeks to extend financial support to the Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) of CSCs, with minimum one year of operation, under the Direct Financing Window of SIDBI. Through the MoU, both CSC SPV and SIDBI seek to work together to bring more citizens under the ambit of financial inclusion.

   NITI Aayog and ABB India have signed a pact to help the country derive the benefits of latest technologies including robotics and artificial intelligence. The Statement of Intent to work together to realise the ambitious make in India vision of the government was signed in the presence of NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant.
NITI Aayog and ABB will work with government ministries, solicit feedback for areas critical to them and discuss solutions using industrial automation, and digitalization technologies. The initiative also covers the fast-growing segment of electric mobility.

 The Union Finance Ministry has tied up with 40 entities including Flipkart, Swiggy, Patanjali and Amul for extending loans to small entrepreneurs under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY). In order to identify people who can be given funds under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY), the ministry has organised an event in Mumbai to extend loan under the scheme. The CEOs of various Banks, senior officials in the rank of MD or CEO from Oil Companies, Railway Board would be part of the event.

  Annual MoU was signed between Ministry of Railway & Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) regarding financial & non-financial targets for the company. Mr Ranjanesh Sahai, Secretary, Railway Board & Mr S.C. Agnihotri, Chairman & Managing Director, RVNL signed the MoU in New Delhi. The target for revenue from operations for RVNL has been set of Rs 7600 Cr for the FY 2018-19.

  NMDC Limited and NLC India Limited (formerly Neyveli Lignite Corporation) has decided to invest over USD 26 million for setting up an R&D facility for developing innovative technologies in iron and steel making. Australian Securities Exchange, the NLC and NMDC will sign the Master Project Agreement (MPA) with ECT to establish world's first Australian-designed Coldry and Matmor plant in Tamil Nadu. Senior executives of NMDC Limited and NLC India Limited will visit Australia to sign a joint R&D agreement with Environmental Clean Technologies Limited (ECT) an Australian company expert in commercialising leading-edge coal and iron-making technologies.

  NTPC inked a pact with Bihar and its power utilities to acquire their entire stake in two joint ventures at Nabinagar and Kanti and to buy Barauni thermal plant. The transactions would enable NTPC to have 100% stake in Nabinagar and Kanti JV projects, which is part the company's broad objective of acquiring state-owned generation units across the country. The company has not disclosed consideration for these acquisitions under the MoU.

 Aluminium major & Navratna CPSE National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has signed MoU with the Ministry of Mines, Govt. of India, setting highest ever target of Rs 9350 crore revenue from operations for FY 2018-19 which is 15% higher than 2017. The MoU has been formulated as per Department of Public Enterprise guidelines and finalized after discussions with both Inter-Ministerial Committee as well as Ministry of Mines. The MoU has also set a target of 2.1 million tons for production of Alumina with 100% capacity utilisation & an optimum Aluminium production target of 4.15 lakh tonnes.

  India and Nepal have agreed to expand their partnership for socio-economic development on the basis of principles of equality, trust, respect and mutual benefit.  In a joint statement issued after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's two-day visit to Nepal. Mr. Modi and his Nepalese counterpart KP Sharma Oli emphasized the need for the regular convening of bilateral mechanisms to review the overall state of bilateral relations and for expeditious implementation of the economic and development co-operation projects.

  India and Peru signed an agreement in the field of Renewable Energy at Lima. The pact was signed in the presence of Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and the Prime Minister Cesar Villanueva Arevalo. This is the final leg of the 3-Nation visit to central America of Indian Vice- President. During the meeting, the leaders discussed various bilateral and international issues of mutual interest. Vice President’s visit comes at a time when India is celebrating the 55th anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations with Peru.
