I read in Jain Higher Secondary School. It is not a Government School. It gets aid from the Government. Our school is built in the open. It is far from dust, noise and smoke of the city. Its building is very grand. It has verandah on both sides of the class rooms. Near the gate there are two small gardens which have grassy lawn, flower beds, fruits, trees and a beautiful fountain. We enjoy the sweet- smell of flowers and the dance of beautiful butterflies. The class rooms are very spacious having a good number of windows and ventilators.
Our school has two labs, one is Physics lab and the other is Chemistry lab and a big library and a spacious reading room. Our library is full of books on all subjects. Every student can borrow books from the library. In the labs we do experiments with the help of teachers.
There are about fifty teachers in the school. They are all highly qualified. They all work hard in teaching us. They help us in every possible way. They are our true friends and guides. Our results are the best in the city. All the teachers are very kind towards us. They look after our studies, health and character.
The Principal of our school is an old hand. He is very particular about the discipline. Recently he has got the best teacher award. He has won our hearts. He expects punctuality from his staff and students. He is an ideal for the members of his staff. His morning talks are very impressive. He believes in action. He does not allow students to attend school in dirty clothes. He is a man of character.
We are taught honesty and truthfulness by him. Hence we are obedient, well behaved and mannerly. He loves a life of ideals. The best thing in the school is the good arrangement of games, debates and scouting. Our games teacher is a big inspiration of games among students. Every one of us has to take part in scouting. Every one of us has to take part in debates every Saturday we have to attend the playground three times a week. I am glad to say that our school team is famous in district for hockey and cricket.
Our scouts get training in the band and first aid. There are two N.C.C. units attached to our school. Every year six students get Military Training. It is the best of all schools. The school is proud of its good students and the teachers are proud of their good school. (Love my school very much.)
