Street hawkers are found in almost every nook andcorner of the city lanes. Whenever, there is a big Whopping complex or even a small market one willn I ways come across various street hawkers selling the most interesting things to eat.

Street hawkers are often troubled a lot by policemen as they are not allowed to stand with their carts atroadsides. These carts are a nuisance as they causeproblems for the easy movement of traffic.

At times there may be a long line of street hawkers at the fringe of a road which would lead to less space being left for traffic to move freely in.

The biggest danger of eating the food that street hawkers sell is in the fact that the constant exposure to the heat and dust of the road side makes this foodunhygienic to eat.

Although sometimes this food is far more delicious then what one may eat in a 5-star hotel, one cannot ignore the fact that eating this food can cause serious health problems for us.

Water and food borne diseases spread as a result of the consumption of uncovered and unhygienic food. Cholera, jaundice, dysentery, stomachaches etc. aresome of the most common diseases caused by the foodeaten at road sides.

It is sad that the street hawkers are not provided anyspace by the government to sell their food at. If theyhad a covered area where they served their food, thecleanliness of their food items could be maintained andthey could help a vast section of the population whocould partake of clean and inexpensive food.

Food sold by hawkers is often tasty and eating theresaves time too. One does not have to go through thelong minutes of waiting for your order as in arestaurant and this has contributed greatly to the Popularity of street hawkers.

If they are organized in a systematic way, streethawkers could beat the owners of the best restaurantsin the country and cause a revolution in the world ofcatering.
