It is said that life may be measured not by the breath we take, but by the breath we hope. And many a time, I had to hold my breath when I saw Sachin in action. Sachin Tendulkar is, in fact, my hero.

He started playing cricket at a very young age. With the passage of time, his cricket career has went from strength to strength and the best is yet to come.

I am a cricket enthusiast. I love cricket the most and would go many miles on foot to see a good cricket match. I find it so thrilling and enchanting especially when Sachin is there as one of the players. I try to see each and every cricket

match starring my hero and star Tendulkar. I  watch cricket match either on TV or by going to the stadium.

Born on April 24, 1973, Tendulkar appeared on the national and international cricket scene at the young age of 16. There is magic in his batting to keep the watchers spellbound. His masterly strokes display super combination of all the best possiple techniques and tricks of the trade. He can face any challenge anytime.

He loves challenging situations as he has been endowed with desired aptitude, talent and brilliance for the game. He is well-known for his skills and ability to change his styles of batting to suit the situation. He is a great asset to the country in the" cricket world.

Recently, he was awarded the prestigious Arjuna Award in recognition of his achievements. It was an occasion of unmixed joy for his thousands of fans like me. He has yet to fulfil many promises and achieve many milestones. He has rightly been called the 'Wonder Boy' of the cricket world.

Actually, we honour ourselves by honouring such an extraordinary young talent. He is bound to provide dynamic and inspiring leadership to his team in the years to come.

Tendulkar is a glowing example of heroism in this particular field of action and contemplation. His courage, stamina, patriotism, excellent footwork and team-spirit are things to be envied.

His cricket-guru and coach Ramakant deserves our gratitude and hearty congratulations to have given us such a jewel as Tendulkar. His achievements with the ball on the field have also been encouraging and inspiring, but it is with the bat that his performance has been par excellence.
